"For
16 years RFPI has been an advocate for peace, environment and social justice.
To this end, RFPI provides some of the most intelligent, balanced and well
researched news and analysis available anywhere. Interviewees on programs
brought to us by RFPI are powerful and informed voices. They are the people
living and working in trouble spots around the world, they are top experts in
their fields, some are Nobel Laureates."

I am disgusted with the University of Peace, saddened by the
whole affair and very very worried. I wish I could come to Costa Rica but I can
barely afford a bus ticket to the next town here in Bolivia. Count my animo's
presence with you at the gates. If you are shut down there will be no way for
people, like myself, who are isolated all over the world to get any real news
or intelligent commentary on world issues. I can tell you that many Peace Corps
and UN workers here listen to your programming and are upset. It'll be back to
the stone age of communications and throwing spit wads at the speaker whenever
"VOA News Now" blasts through the air waves with their ten billion
kilowatts of lies and propaganda. Seriously, what will us folks do? How can we
make social justice and economic decisions based on the propaganda coming out
of VOA and BBC?

I am
thinking ... why would one Peace organisation give so much grief to another
Peace organisation? It is, and correct me if I err, please ... but rfpi was
"invited" to the grounds of the UFP in mid 80s by the then president
of that country.
Things went swimmingly well but for the odd up and down here and there or maybe
even just swimmingly well ... period!
And so it went…For four University administrations listener support and active
participation of the peace community… did their part to contribute to the
betterment of the cause. And the betterment of communication on the
planet. The betterment of citizen and community working for and seeking
peace as well as conflict resolution.
Much
has been gained from and by their work. Much more is to be and will be
lost should this impasse not reach a successfully mediated peaceful conclusion
that will allow the station, Radio For Peace International, to continue
broadcasting freely and unhindered from anyone or any organisation. It is
as they say in America, a "no-brainer"
